Late Rev. (Mrs.) Victoria Aduke Folorunsho Boyejo (nee Akinbo), 71, was born on February 9, 1949, to late Chief James Akanbi Akinbo and late Mrs. Aderenle Abeke Akinbo in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. After her education, she joined the defunct National Bank of Nigeria as an administrative secretary.
She was married to late Mr. Kehinde Meshioye with whom she had two children. After the demise of her husband, she got remarried to late Rev. (Dr.) James Abayomi Boyejo after he had also lost his spouse. Rev. James Boyejo was one of the founding fathers of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria. They together pastored the Foursquare Gospel Church in Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria. Thereafter, they traveled together on many national and international ministerial assignments and later settled in the United States of America. She lived there until her death on Sunday, August 16, 2020.
Mama Boyejo, as she was fondly called, was an ordained minister of God in the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria. She was devoted to serving God until the last moments of her life. She attended conferences organized by Foursquare Nigeria and Foursquare in the United States. She was also a member of Christ Foundation Ministries International (CFMI) in Providence, RI, USA; a member of Egba Descendant Association of Rhode Island, USA, she was a friend of Yoruba Elders International Society, (YEIS), and she was a member and a weekly minister of God at St. Martin's Senior Center, Cranston, RI.
She was survived by two children: Mrs. Olabisi Opebiyi (Ireland) and Mr. Oladimeji Meshioye (Nigeria), three grandchildren: Oluwaseun, Oluwaseyi, and Oluwaseye and many brothers and sisters.
She will be greatly missed in the USA community and her home country, Nigeria.
